Christians in Football is a Charitable Trust

CIF has been registered as a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee, Charity registration No. 1090157. Being a charity enhances CIF's role in a number of ways:

Provides CIF with formal recognition

The granting of Charitable Status enhances our ability to work together with other charitable trusts working in the arena of advancing the christian faith through sport

Provides accountability for CIF to meet its objectives

A board of trustee - directors is responsible for overseeing the work of CIF. At present there are three trustee-directors:

Rev David Campbell - Pastor of City Church, St. Albans, (Elim)

Peter Kloss - Elder & Trustee of Hemel Hempstead Community Church

Keith Hammond - Founder of Christians in Football

In addition, Rev Alan West (Luton Christian Fellowship) is an Advisor

Provides an accountable framework for CIF finances

As a comapny limited by Guarantee CIF's finances are open to public scrutiny and are audited according to the rules of the Charity Commission and Companies House

Provides a framework for charitable giving

Charitable status allows us to receive donations from individuals with the option of tax recovery, and also allows us to receive donations from like minded charitable bodies
