This is another great season for the National Christian Cup as we come of age, celebrating its 21st season!! The National Christian Trophy is now in
its 6th year. When the new format of running 2 Competitions was introduced in 2007, there was a good response with a record 81 entries!
However, we have been delighted to have over and around 100 teams enter in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 which is fantastic! The aim is to
have around 100 - 120 teams each season if possible! If you play in a Christian League, please pass the news of these Competitions on
to all those teams that you play against!
We were very grateful to Alpine Press, Hertfordshire (salesATalpinepress.co.uk) for deciding to sponsor the NCC / NCT in 2008 and we thank
them for their continued support for the foreseeable future. Their initial sponsorship was to print the Application Forms and Letter Headings
but they now sponsor the whole lot, including the Cup Final Programmes and CIF Tour Brochures!! Thanks!
Aims of the National Christian Cup and Trophy
The aims of the Competitions are two-fold:
1) To draw together Christian-based Football teams from across the country for a real
celebration of Christian Football, demonstrating the Christian way of how football should be played, as an act of Worship to the Lord,
bringing pleasure to Him as well as blessing each other and
2) To enable Christians to share the Gospel with the love of Christ through
their common passion for football. The Competition is an important part of the Christians in Football Network with regular reports and
updates on the CIF web site: www.christiansinfootball.org
For more information about the rules and structure of the competition see About the National
Christian Cup & Trophy
The competition is an important part of the network of christian footballers and teams, with regular
reports and updates appearing in Frontline magazine and on this Web site.
National Christian Cup and Trophy Latest News
Well, this is another historic moment in Christian-based Football, as the National Christian Cup enters it's 21st season and the National Christian Trophy,
it's 6th Year!
After many emails and phone calls, again promoting the National Christian Football Competitions and preparing for the draw, we are very pleased to announce that
we have an entry of 95 teams for 2012/2013!
When we decided to develop the National Christian Cup into 2 Competitions and start the National Christian Trophy in 2007, we were aiming at around 80 to
90 teams. The 2007 entry of 81 was excellent but in the past 4 seasons we have received around or over 100 entries and again, this season,
we have achieved our goal, for which we are very thankful to the Lord!
This season, we have actually seen 27 new teams enter, although there are also 10 teams that entered last season, that have actually finished as Clubs
altogether! There is no doubt a challenge of being and running a Christian-based Football Club as well as the excitement that it also brings, so let
us continually pray and rely on God with what we are doing!! Coupled to the fact that quite a few teams have not entered this season, in order to
refresh and rebuild the vision of their Club and others because of financial restraints, then I find this number of teams very encouraging.
For me, there is again a sense of pruning, in order that the "Christian Football Tree" will get stronger as well as bigger!
Of the 95 Christian-based Teams, there are 36 Teams in the National Cup and 59 teams in the National Trophy. This is fantastic and we give thanks to
the Lord! Also a big thank-you for your patience in waiting for the draw.

LAST SEASON 2011-12
*** Update 20th May 2012 ***
RESULTS OF THE 2012 FINALS
The National Christian Cup Final was played on Friday May 11th at "Ewood Park Stadium",
the plush ground of Blackburn Rovers FC. The 20th ever NCC Final, was celebrated in a great spirit between first time Cup Finalists,
Toft Tornados, Cheshire and Killamarsh St Giles FC, Sheffield. Toft dominated early on but missed a penalty! Killamarsh then took the
lead, with Toft levelling midway through the 2nd half and looking the more likely to win. However, Killamarsh dramatically scored
the winner in the last minute, to win 2-1!
Also Congratulations to the winners of the 2012 National Christian Trophy: playing at the refurbished Valley Stadium,
Charlton Athletic FC. Mansfield AFC comfortably beat Churches of Spelthorne Utd FC, Surrey 5-1. Full reports of both the
Finals will be published as soon as they are available
